The Northeast Nebraska Ag Banquet

For the third consecutive year, approved the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce’s Agri-Business Council and the Madison Area Chamber of Commerce have joined forces by hosting The Northeast Nebraska Ag Banquet to acknowledge and promote today’s and tomorrow’s agriculture and its importance to the northeast Nebraska economy.

The primary focus of this event is to recognize and award youth from the targeted counties of Madison, more about Antelope, Wayne, Pierce, Stanton, Boone and northern Platte with continuing agri-business education scholarships.  The first year, two $500 scholarships were awarded; last year, four $750 scholarships were awarded, and; this year, $750 scholarships will be presented to six deserving area youth who plan to continue their education in the agri-business field!  We are extremely pleased that the event continues to grow and evolve so we are able to continue increasing our scholarship fund!

The event celebrates and recognizes northeast Nebraska’s #1 industry, Agriculture/Agri-Business, by presentations to a Farm Family of the Year and an Ag Business of the Year, which are selected from area farmer and agri-business nominations, as well.

A social time starts at 5:30pm, a Windsor loin dinner will be served at 6:30pm, and a presentation by nationally-recognized keynote speaker and dairy expert, Kim Bremmer, of Ag Inspirations are also a part of the June 22nd event at the Madison County Fairgrounds.  Tickets are available at the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce for $30 prior to June 10th or $35 after June 9th.
