The Chamber is the voice of businesses throughout Madison County. We work closely with the City of Norfolk and Madison County’s elected and administrative leaders on key local and state issues, and we have solid partnerships with regional organizations and other chambers of commerce.
Annually, the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce evaluates the issues affecting businesses within the county and throughout the State and region. Together with our Local, State and Federal Government Committee and the Board of Directors, we develop a Legislative Agenda. This addresses the ways in which government can be more effective and supportive of a strong business environment.
Do you have an issue you want the Chamber to examine? Complete a Request for Chamber Action form and return it to the Chamber for the Government Affairs committee to review.
Local, State & Federal Government

Public Policy Events
Legislative Luncheon: The Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry when they present an annual legislative forum in the fall. The State Chamber conducts these legislative forums to gather input from the business community on issues of concern, while providing a review of recent legislation considered by the Nebraska Legislature. Northeast Nebraska Day: Similar to Madison Country day but also includes Chamber representation from the surrounding communities. This day includes observing the legislative session, hearing from the Governor, discussions with State Senators and Agency Heads along with presentation from state department representatives.
